As a small residential program, we focus on working closely with the young men and their families in attaining a reconnection to a broken life caused by various issues such as trauma, adoption, death of a parent, drug/alcohol abuse, etc. We have two openings in our 18 and under Meadowlark Home, where residents live in a fully supervised and structured home environment, as well as openings for our over 18 mentorship program, known as the Kootenai House. Our Kootenai House is fully a supervised program working with young adults in attaining job skills, interviewing, job shadowing, college prep and college support, while learning skills to continue in forward positive progress of a life of meaning.

Want to know more about our program and how we work?

We are partnering with Boulder Hut Adventures in beautiful Kimberley, British Columbia, SOLE Selkirk Outdoor Leadership & Education, and Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center! We get kids into the outdoors and teach them the outdoor industry through internships with Boulder Hut Adventures backcountry ski guides, how to build a business through running and maintaining a local startup snowsports consignment shop, train in snowsports education, as well as internships and job opportunities through Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort. As Timberline Private Care is situated at the base of Schweitzer Mountain in the beautiful small town of Sandpoint, Idaho, we are close to the action and availability of these amazing partners. When our residents are not working on schooling, we get them involved in these programs giving them the opportunity to learn new skills, meet amazing people, and find a grounding to their life. And these opportunities don't only last for the cold months. We travel to Kimberly during our summers to reconnect with the wilderness and teach kids how to maintain a backcountry ski lodge for the upcoming season.
