Timber Ridge Preparatory School for Girls is proud to announce the graduation of two of its students, Megan Casey and Ashlie Conley. Both students have surpassed the goals that were set for them and the ones they made for themselves.

Megan will be graduating both high school and the emotional growth program at Timber Ridge. She is enrolled into Northern Virginia Community College and begins classes on August 26th. Megan was very active in our Community Service Program and recently participated in the community Relay for Life. Megan raised the most money at Timber Ridge for this community event and was second overall for the most money raised by all participants.

Ashlie has her senior year to complete in high school and will possibly be working on college credit at the same time through the Dual Start program at a nearby college. Ashlie made great strides in healing her relationships, especially with her father, and looks forward to going home and spending time with him.

Our students are innately as bright as those who attend the most competitive schools, but their previous dangerous, self-destructive and acting-out behaviors became stumbling blocks and they would have failed without the Timber Ridge experience. Sometimes, the potentially brightest and best self-destruct because their affective, social, and intellectual needs are not fulfilled by traditional treatment and teaching techniques. Timber Ridge fulfills those special needs - academically, emotionally and physically.

The investment of time and emotional commitment on the part of these girls to reach their goals is a significant investment, but it is worth the energy. Graduation gives them the chance towards a successful future and to show the world what special young women they are.

Congratulations!
