Talisman Academy is pleased to announce that Annette Davis joined our faculty in October 2010 as our Academic Director. Annette received her Masters of Education Degree from Brigham Young University. Annette has been involved with junior/senior high school students in both public and private arenas for 27 years. She has been an Assistant Principal for both a large high school and a private therapeutic boarding school. Early in her career, she taught adjudicated students at Provo Canyon School and that experience led her to teach with the Department of Defense Schools in Panama, Central America. Within her 27 years of experience, she has worked with adolescents with diverse backgrounds ranging from at-risk youth, kids with autism spectrum disorders, students within gifted programs, and individuals with learning disabilities. She has a great sense of humor and uses it to encourage students to find fascination in learning.
