The Executive Team of Surf House is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Bill Rosenblatt of Ocean, New Jersey, as Director of Life Coaching and Clinical Services. For over 20 years, Dr. Bill has maintained a home in Rincon, Puerto Rico and looks forward to spending more time on the island in his new capacity.
Dr. Bill supervises and directs the Life Coaches and provides clinical expertise for students and families during the student's gap year experience. Dr. Bill will also consult with a student's home psychiatrist regarding medication issues and liaison with mental health professionals in the local community when services are needed.
Dr. Bill Rosenblatt is a Licensed Psychologist and Senior Fellow in Biofeedback. He holds a doctorate in Counseling from Lehigh University and did post-doctoral work in Clinical Behavioral Medicine at the Mind/Body Medical Institute at Harvard Medical School. Presently in private practice in Ocean, New Jersey, he has been on the faculty of Rutgers, Monmouth, and Kean University and been Director of Behavioral Medicine at Morristown Memorial Hospital and Monmouth Medical Centers.
Dr. Bill works with patients, helps athletes, and lectures and conducts workshops for corporations and professional groups on Stress, Coping, and Health. His most popular workshop is entitled "Just because you're not sick doesn't mean you're healthy". Dr. Bill was the Mayor of Loch Arbour New Jersey, a small coastal community, for 10 years. He was a co-founder of the Jersey Shore chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving our oceans, reefs, and beaches. For six years, Dr. Bill served on Surfrider's National Board of Directors, two of those as Chairman of the Board. Dr. Bill is an avid waterman and accomplished surfer. He maintains an ongoing blog "Surfing the Waves of Life."
Surf House Puerto Rico is a gap year experience that promotes college and career readiness in young adults.
