Sunrise Residential Treatment Center (RTC), a program for adolescent girls struggling with emotional and behavioral disorders, announced today its plans to promote Brad Simpson LCSW, to the role of clinical director for the program. Simpson will be replacing Jack Hinman, who served as clinical director at Sunrise for the past 6 years.

"As sad as we are to say goodbye to our dear friend, Jack, we're thrilled to have Brad step into this key role," said Sunrise executive director, David Prior, LMFT. "Brad has been a foundational member of our clinical team for over six years. I know that our referents and families will be as excited for Brad and for Sunrise as we are."

Simpson is a licensed, master's-level therapist with 9 years of clinical experience with adolescents and families; his specialties include substance abuse, mood disorders, family therapy, and motivational interviewing. He has completed the Intensive Training Course for dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and is the regional representative for SMART Recovery. DBT and SMART Recovery are two of the innovative, clinically validated treatment modalities favored at Sunrise.

"As I pursue the next chapter in my own professional journey," said Hinman, "I'm thrilled to have such a talented clinician take my place. Brad lives and breathes Sunrise and is deeply respected by our girls, our families, and our clinical team."

Hinman has accepted a role at another treatment facility, but will stay on at Sunrise until April 16 to assist with Simpson's transition.

Sunrise Residential Treatment Center works with girls between the ages of 13 and 17 who are struggling with a range of emotional and behavioral issues. By combining the best features of a boarding school, a treatment facility, and a transition program, we are able to wrap around these girls with care, giving them the support and tools necessary to thrive. Our licensed therapists and special-education trained teachers are equipped to help girls struggling with a number of issues. Sunrise is part of the InnerChange (www.innerchange.com) family of therapeutic programs for teens and young adults.
