Strive, Inc., which stands for Support and Training Resources for Independence and Vocational Education, is a non-credit, CEU, certificate granting college campus and community-based career life planning program for students 18 years and older. The students have moderate to severe learning disabilities and may have received special education services in high school, or be students with tested abilities in the low average intelligence range.

STRIVE was founded in 1990 as a continuation of "Project LIVE" (Learn, Intern, Validate for Employment in 1981) by Dr. Jean E. Robinson, Executive Director/President and Founder of STRIVE. Vice President is Cathy Corcoran, MED.

Strive provides college bound LD students with support for career planning, community based training and employment, academic referrals and courses through Northern Virginia Community College. The main goals for students include building self esteem, creating self advocacy and self reliance, learning how to access community and college resources and learning to live independently in the community. Founded in 1997, Cornerstone Foundation, Strive's independent living residence, has four components to its program. They range from total supervised transitional living to almost entirely independent living. The residence at Cornerstone has a live-in counselor and rotating residential staff.
