Welcomes New Executive Director

Jake Weld, M.Ed., has been promoted to the position of executive director of Stone Mountain School, a therapeutic boarding school for boys with ADHD and learning differences.

Though new to the role of executive director, Mr. Weld is a familiar face at Stone Mountain School. For the past year, he has made a profound impact as the school's academic director and now brings his expertise and leadership to the position of executive director.

Mr. Weld has over fifteen years of experience in various educational settings, including wilderness, experiential, therapeutic, conventional and residential programs. He is a credentialed teacher with a master's degree in Education. Prior to joining Stone Mountain School, Mr. Weld served as the dean of academics for an independent boarding school in Northern California and academic director for Talisman Programs.

"Moving into this new role gives me the opportunity to work more closely with a truly incredible team," said Mr. Weld. "I believe whole-heartedly in the school and the work we do, and I'm fully committed to maintaining the tradition of excellence that has made Stone Mountain School the leading therapeutic boarding school for boys with learning differences."

In addition to helping families heal, the Stone Mountain team provides teenage boys with a world-class LD education in a therapeutically supportive environment.

Stone Mountain School is a SACS-accredited, year-round therapeutic boarding school for boys ages 11-17 with emotional, behavioral and learning issues such as ADD, ADHD and nonverbal learning disorder (NLD). Part of Aspen Education Group
