Starlite Recovery Center

The Starlite Recovery Center offers two separate inpatient Chemical and Alcohol Detox and Rehabilitation programs, one for adults 18 and older and one for adolescents ages 13 to 17. The program lasts for approximately 28 to 45 days, based upon medical necessity. Their Summit House Adolescent Program, a 17-bed facility located “40 beautiful acres” in Texas Hill Country. Completely away from outside influences, it allows adolescents who dealing with alcohol and/or drug abuse, to focus entirely on their treatment.

Their philosophy of success in continued recovery is based on following the Twelve Step Program, and includes Big Book Study, Relapse Prevention, and open/closed AA meetings. However, the treatment while at the Summit House is very multi-dimensional, addressing issues such as communication, conflict resolution, anger, self-esteem, and goal setting. Also implemented is a “team oriented” approach, which includes a family program for parents & siblings, medical evaluation by a Board Certified physician, group and individual counseling, an accredited school program, therapeutic activities, discharge planning, and aftercare/alumni services.
