Spirit Lodge Welcomes Williams

Welcome Abi Williams, PhD, LCSW, CSAT, CMAT! Abi will add dimension and depth to clinical care
at Spirit Lodge as she steps into her role as Clinical Director.

We first got to know Abi Williams in 1998 when she conducted research for her doctoral thesis at Right Step's flagship center in Houston. Since then, she has spent many years providing high quality care at other prominent organizations. Now, Abi has returned home to the Right Step family as the Spirit Lodge Clinical Director. She brings with her multi-faceted mental health expertise which will enrich the treatment experience for all Spirit Lodge guests.

Abi will oversee each guest's clinical treatment plan which will address, not only addiction treatment, but also some of the co-occurring disorders that can accompany substance abuse. Abi's extensive training includes:

• Eating disorders


• Sex addiction


• Process addictions


• Codependency


• Group psychotherapy


• Social work

With a specialty in family systems, Spirit Lodge guests and their families will benefit from Abi's creative approach to programming. Initially, she enhanced Spirit Lodge's very popular three-day family weekends. More treatment development is planned which will make the Spirit Lodge experience more beneficial than ever.

Abi's considerable clinical experience comes from The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston, Center for Recovering Families, and Parkside Lodge of Katy. She is a native Texan, originally from Houston and now enjoying work and play in the scenic hills around Austin with her husband of 24 years.

Spirit Lodge is a holistic residential treatment center for addiction treatment, with programs that begin with a minimum of 35 to 60 days, for ages 26 and over.
