Spectrum College Transition Program, the first Residential Transition Program in the State of Arizona specializing solely in students with Asperger's Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism, and PPD-nos is offering a new summer social residential program to expose students to a glimpse into college life and independent living skills. The site is a beautiful home-away-from-home in Scottsdale for young men and women who are interested in pursuing a secondary or post-secondary education. This unique program was created by Dr. Thomas A. Bloom, President of Apollo Colleges and O. Robin Sweet, CEO and Executive Director of Gateway Academy.

According to Robin Sweet, CEO and Executive Director of Gateway Academy, "We have developed this exciting and fun summer social program to give students with Asperger's and High-Functioning Autism a sneak preview of college life and responsibilities in a stress-free, fun and relaxing environment."

Beginning June 4th for 5 consecutive 2 week sessions, Spectrum will be offering a Summer Social program for men and women ages 17-24, including high school students entering Freshman-Senior Year. This program is designed to give students interested in going to college the opportunity to have fun and experience college life first hand by learning about the expectations of college and living independently. This all-inclusive summer program offers structured overnight 24-hour support by providing in-house resident directors and medication coverage. In addition to exciting trips to world-famous Biodome 2, Kartchner's Caverns, Sedona and the Grand Canyon, several fun on-site activities exist for the students' amusement. Space is limited to 12 students per session. Limited scholarships are available.

Located on 2 acres in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, the 8,000 square foot home offers luxurious bedroom suites with internet access, sensory-friendly cuisine and an on-site water park and rock climbing wall. Additionally, the site has an exercise room, media room and its very own audio recording studio. Only 30 minutes from ASU and ASU West and 15 minutes from downtown Scottsdale this unique and bustling location has it all. Its location provides a great precursor into college life, and provides experience conveniently located within a large community of students alike. This is a one of a kind experience certain to enhance and prepare those looking to enter academic college life in the near future.

Many individuals with symptoms of Asperger's Syndrome have become famous. The following is a small list of famous people and celebrities who may have Asperger's Syndrome: Keanu Reeves, Bill Gates, Al Gore, James Durbin, Dan Aykroyd, John Nash, Garrison Keelor, James Taylor, and many more!

Spectrum College Transition Program seeks young men and women with a primary diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism, or Executive Function Deficits. Space is limited to 12 students per session.

Tours of the facility are available upon request and the cost is $2,500 per two-week session. Two-week sessions are available June 4th -18th, June 19th - July 2nd, July 3rd - July 16th, July 17th - July 30th, July 31st - August 13th.
