Soltreks wilderness therapy program is pleased to announce current openings for its Summer Adventure Program. In its 14th season, the summer program continues to foster nurturing relationships with integrity and care while delivering a balance of physical and personal growth challenges. The single gender, small group treks are appropriate for adolescent's ages 13-17 who are underachieving, unmotivated, struggling with depression/anxiety, learning differences, family conflict or low self-esteem.

The Summer Adventure Program integrates a strong family component with Parent Workshops, a mid-trek Parent Weekend (overnight in field with their child), Sibling Workshop, end of trek Family Sessions, and Graduation Ceremony. Experience confirms that when a family is engaged in their child's healing, the child's chance of a positive outcome and long-term success is greatly magnified.

Located in northern Minnesota utilizing the Superior National Forest and the pristine Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, students participate in backpacking, rock climbing or ropes course, service learning and a canoe expedition. Sessions are offered June 13 - August 5 for boys, and June 20 - August 12 for girls. Open enrollment/rolling admissions groups begin June 27 (boys) and July 6 (girls). High school students may earn 2.5 academic credits and have the option to earn college credit.

Soltreks' solution focused approach empowers students in their own process and healing and remains an excellent choice for discovering one's true potential, building relationships and restoring health and wellness. For additional information or an online application, visit Soltreks website at www.soltreks.com or for admission inquiries call 218-834-4607.

Soltreks is truly a trek for the soul.
