Exploring Personal
Transition Through Art

Soltreks is proud to have presented at this year's Wilderness Therapy Symposium in Boulder, CO and at The National Association of Therapeutic Wilderness Camping Conference (NATWC) in Nashville, TN. Lorri Hanna, Co-Founder, President and Executive Director of Soltreks, led an hour and a half workshop on "Exploring Personal Transition through Art" at the NATWC conference and Jen Dupuis, Administrative and Clinical Support and Lorri Hanna led a three hour workshop on "Mask Making as Therapy" at the Wilderness Therapy Symposium. In addition, Soltreks attended the Outdoor Behavioral Health Industry Council meeting in Durango, CO.

In addition, Soltreks has just completed their 13th Summer Adventure Program this year! Students between the ages of 14-17 spent 6 weeks this past summer backpacking, rock climbing, and taking part in a service learning project and canoeing in the pristine Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Ninety percent of the Summer Adventure Program students received high school academic credit upon their successful completion of their trek. Family involvement remained a significant component of the trek as parent workshops and sibling work was blended throughout the program.

Soltreks, Inc. is an outdoor behavioral healthcare program for adolescents ages 13-17, young adults ages 18-25 and adults over 25, offering individual and group treks, one on one treks, a summer adventure program, winter programs, family treks and specialty treks, located in Two Harbors, MN and is an organizational member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs, OBHIC, NATWC, and AEE.
