Launches New Aftercare Program

Solstice East is very excited to announce our new aftercare program! This is a program specifically designed to meet the transitional needs of Solstice students and their families. We recently announced that Danielle Andrews, MA, LPCA, LCAS has joined the team as our transition coach and is leading the charge in this new and exciting option that families can use to assist them in their daughter's transition home. We would like to share details about this program with you; please see the attached document for more information.

Over the years, we have seen that aftercare is often the missing piece of the treatment puzzle-witnessing an increased rate of success when families choose to employ this service. Our goal is to simply encourage the use of aftercare services-whether it be through Solstice Aftercare, or another existing aftercare service. We hope to accomplish this by introducing transition-related work at the very beginning of our clinical programming, and maintaining a focus on the transition throughout the process. In addition, Solstice Aftercare will provide families with an additional option in aftercare services - one in which the student and family have already established a relationship with the aftercare specialist. Our transition coach, Danielle Andrews, will run weekly transition groups with our students once they reach a certain phase in our program; engage in weekly parent support phone calls for families nearing transition; run group sessions during family seminar in preparation for transition, and ultimately be available to work directly with students and families upon graduation from the program. We hope you experience the same excitement about our new aftercare program as we do!
