Two residential treatment centers for girls, Asheville Academy for Girls and Solstice East, are excited to announce a new growth opportunity for both programs. After four years of successfully working alongside each other on a shared campus, Asheville Academy for Girls and Solstice East are excited to announce effective January 1, 2017, Asheville Academy will move to its own campus.

"With both Asheville Academy and Solstice East on the same campus, we could have anywhere between 70 to 80 students within a wide range of ages," says Kyle Gillett, Executive Director of Solstice East. "That left little breathing room for our continuously expanding programs. Now that Solstice East will have full access to our existing campus and with Asheville Academy having a campus on its own, we will both be able to steer our programming in new, exciting directions."

Both Solstice East and Asheville Academy for Girls are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible. An extensive amount of time and planning has gone into addressing all aspects of the move, and to ensuring the students, staff, and families have the information and resources they need for a seamless and successful experience.

"It is bittersweet to be leaving our Solstice East friends but we are all excited for the opportunities the change will make for each of us." notes Cat Jennings, Executive Director of Asheville Academy, "Our new campus will allow us to create more programming specifically for our young girl and continue our dedication to creating the most individualized, healing experience possible for our students."
