Skyland Trail, a non-profit treatment facility for adults with mental illness, is pleased to welcome Mark "Klay" Weaver to the organization as Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, Klay will have a broad span of responsibilities including clinical services, finance, operations, human resources and marketing/admissions.

"Klay's extensive leadership experience in behavioral healthcare organizations makes him a great fit for Skyland Trail and our expanding services," says President Beth Finnerty. "In this role, he will help develop strategic solutions for the challenges of our growing organization, including enhancing and improving systems, increasing profitability, and continuing to develop and implement innovative models of care."

Klay comes to Skyland Trail from Gateway Behavioral Health Services in Brunswick, where he has been serving as COO. He began his tenure at Skyland Trail April 30, 2012.

Skyland Trail is a community-based, nonprofit residential and day treatment facility that offers hope to adults seeking recovery from mental illness. We specialize in the treatment of Bipolar Disorder, Major Depression, Schizophrenia, and Dual Diagnosis. Our philosophy of care is comprehensive and integrates mental, physical, and spiritual health with the ultimate goal of community reintegration. Programs are offered in three campus-like settings and are led by a team of caring professionals who are specialists in their fields. We offer a need-based Financial Aid Program, made possible by generous support from individuals, foundations, and corporations, that allows clients to access and complete treatment.
