Educational Consultant Deborah Thomason is pleased to announce exciting changes in her practice. Susan (Skelton) Storzum is returning and taking on the role of Program Parent Liaison and Sarah Mack is the new Director of Development.
"It is tremendously exciting to be expanding Skelton, Thomason and Associates. I am simply delighted to have Susan back and Sarah joining the team. Both are dedicated and tremendously talented professionals. Susan's wisdom and experience offer a great asset to the families we serve, and it's wonderful to have Sarah on board to help spread the word about our practice. In addition, Sarah will be offering Parent Coaching to our families enabling us to provide a holistic approach to families in crisis. I will continue to work directly with families as the Primary Consultant and will manage all assessment and placements," explained Deborah Thomason. "I am delighted to continue our association with Dr. Kevin O'Keefe, PsyD, who offers comprehensive psychological testing to all of our clients in need of such services. Dr. O'Keefe's vast experience and expertise greatly enrich our assessment and placement capabilities."
Storzum has a Masters of Arts in Family and Child Counseling and was the founder of Susan Skelton and Associates in 1996, before it became Skelton, Thomason and Associates upon her retirement. Today she is returning to the practice in a new role - working directly with parents and programs when they transition into long-term residential placement. Susan's experience working with families, combined with her knowledge of residential treatment programs, will offer support to parents as well as programs making for a seamless experience.
Mack brings to the firm 17 years of experience in the adolescent treatment industry. Most recently, she worked as the Director of Business Development for Explorations. Prior to joining the Explorations team, she served as the Director of Business Development for the Catherine Freer Wilderness Programs, where she worked for 17 years. During that time, Mack founded and directed the Oregon Transition Homes program and was instrumental in the development of Santiam Crossing School. Mack is a Certified Parent Coach and trained mediator. She is an active committee member for the National Association of Therapeutic School and Programs (NATSAP) and currently serves on the Conference Planning Committee.
