Silverado Academy welcomes Sheri DeMott, Ph.D to our therapy and academic team. Sheri will oversee the substance abuse therapy, groups, and educational training. She will also oversee all IEP's and provide special tutoring for students as needed.
Sheri has a depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in education, substance abuse, and clinical issues. She worked as a social worker in the state of Nevada, a middle school teacher at Diocese of Reno as well as Adjunct faculty and a continuing Education instructor at Nova University and University of Las Vegas. She has been licensed as a Marriage & Family therapist since 1984 and has been a facilitator in homeless women groups, and domestic violence perpetrator groups. In addition to her counseling background, Sheri has been a special education teacher, administrator, and school psychologist.
Sheri is a member of National Association of School Psychologists, Nevada Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, and the Association for Treatment of Sexual Abusers. Dr. De Mott holds licenses and certifications as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, Special Education Teacher PK-12, and School Administration: PK-12, and Marriage and Family Therapist.

Silverado Academy is an owner-operated licensed therapeutic boarding school for adolescents ages 13-18. We offer a dual gender campus with gender specific programming.
