Side by Side Supported Living, Inc. offers individual services for clients with disabilities ranging from residential living within an integrated building, to community outreach for those individuals living independently in their own home or apartment, dorm room or with family or roommates. Clients receive an independent support plan created by staff and team members based on the identified goals of the client. SBS provides direct therapeutic support for their clients and focuses on consistency with daily routines, trust and security and creating long term relationships with staff and team members.
Keith Duclos, MMHS is the founder and President of SBS and knows through personal experience of having a disability himself, the importance of supporting individuals in focusing their self opinion of someone with a "disability" to someone with "different abilities". Keith serves on the Board of the Brookline Commission for the Disabled, and is a member of the Brookline Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Program Director for SBS is Nicole Chaggaris, LCSW and Clinical Consultant for SBS is Kim Percival, LICSW.
The many services provided at Side by Side include SBS adventures, which allow clients to interact in social connection groups, participate in day and evening trips to sporting events, nature hikes, visiting landmarks or attending cultural shows and overnight/extended trips are available throughout the year, for those seeking outdoor adventures of hiking, skiing or rafting; or trips to the Big Apple or Washington DC. All outings are fully chaperoned by SBS staff members.
Other services provided by SBS include: SBS wellness- exercise and healthy eating and SBS works, offering intensive career development support and follow along career development support.
