Hannah Mariotti, whom many of you know, has been the Director of Admissions for Shortridge Academy since 2005. She has taken on some additional responsibilities recently. As a licensed clinician with a passion for working with adolescents, specifically in the areas of attachment, adoption, and personality disorders, Hannah is now serving as the Girls Program Clinical Coordinator. As such, Hannah will be a senior member of the clinical team at Shortridge Academy, working directly under Kay Patch, MSN, PMHCNS-BC, APRN, Clinical, and Health Services Director, and coordinate the specific girls programming such as specialty groups, wellness activities, and milieu-clinical interface. She will also serve as an individual counselor for specific students.

"I am really excited about the opportunity to get more involved in our clinical and direct counseling services here at Shortridge," says Mariotti. "For almost 6 years I have been involved on the front end aspect, reviewing referrals, connecting with educational consultants and clinicians, and helping coordinate clinical specialty areas. This new role will enable me to continue to leverage my passion for delivering direct clinical services while keeping my foot in the admissions and outreach areas."

Hannah will continue to be a point person for admissions at Shortridge and part of the admissions team, which includes Christina Smalley, M.A., Frank Anthony, Marketing Director, and Don Vardell, Executive Director. "We really value Hannah's contributions to our growth in clinical services and know her focus on leading our 'Especially for Girls' initiative will be a good fit", says Vardell.

Shortridge Academy is a year round, college preparatory, therapeutic boarding school for young men and women ages 14-17 years old at enrollment, grades 9-12. Shortridge Academy is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Since 2002, Shortridge Academy has been helping students and families who are struggling with academic performance, loss of interest in activities and increased conflict in family or peer relationships. .
