Shortridge Academy is pleased to announce the promotion of Brian Laing to Counseling Director. Brian is now responsible for the management and training of the counselors and will take an active role in implementing our Positive Youth Development Curriculum.

Prior to working at Shortridge Academy, Brian worked with adolescents, young adults, and their families in a variety of therapeutic environments including wilderness and residential programs. He has been a family centered counselor and team leader at the school for over 3 years. He will continue to work closely with our Clinical Director and our Director of Student Life to provide students with the most successful Shortridge experience.

Shortridge Academy:
Shortridge Academy is a year round college preparatory, therapeutic boarding school for young men and women ages 14-17 (grades 9-12) who struggle with academic performance, loss of interest in activities and increase in conflicts in their family or peer relationships. We provide students with an environment of consistent boundaries, expectations, trusting and sustained relationships and support and understanding as they discover their strengths and achieve their academic goals.
