Shepherd's Hill Academy is pleased to announce the official welcoming of our new Principal, Steve Schyck. Steve brings a myriad of experience to SHA. His educational background includes: BS Western Michigan University, MA Michigan State University, and a MA+ University of Idaho.

His career related work experience is as follows: Eighteen years as Junior/Senior High School Principal. Five years as assistant principal for curriculum and instruction. Three years as assistant principal for attendance and discipline. Sixteen years as teacher of Language Arts and Social Studies. He has also owned and operated a private business.

Steve is a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the
Georgia Association of Educational Leaders. He also has a long list of professional, honorary accomplishments, such as: Outstanding Young Educator (runner-up) Hartland Jaycees.
State Championship, Plummer High School Football. Superintendent's Award, Fulton County Schools. Proven record of leadership in improving student achievement. Proven record of leadership in improving school climate. National acclaim for promising practices in character education. Finalist for "School Administrator of the Year" Florida African American Education Alliance.

On a more personal note, Steve has been married to his wife Patricia for 43 years. They have 3 grown children: Stephen, age forty, Ann, age thirty-eight and Michael, age thirty-six. Stephen and Ann are currently teachers of Special Children, and Michael is teaching elementary Physical Education. He also has six grandchildren.

Shepherd's Hill Farm is a Christian Boarding School; outdoor residential program located on an 80 acre wilderness facility for troubled youth ages 13-17 struggling with a variety of negative behaviors. We are equipped with a completely devoted Christian staff that uses biblical principles in a loving authoritative community environment.
