Seven Stars is pleased to announce the addition of J'lene Alexander as Admissions and Clinical Coordinator.

"We are very excited for J'lene to join our team," comments Gordon Day, Executive Clinical Director and Founder of Seven Stars. "In our small, specialized program, her unique experience and passion for helping others makes her a very valuable member of our team."

"J'lene's experience and skill set will serve her very well in her primary role in admissions," Dr. Day added. "As the mother of two children and with her extensive experience in providing direct care in an RTC environment, she has the ability to connect with parents and to support them through the difficult process of enrolling their son or daughter in a residential treatment program. She brings an honest, calming, informative and reassuring influence to the process. In her secondary role of supporting our clinical team in the timely completion of clinical and multidisciplinary reports, her organization and attention to detail will bring new efficiency. It will also ensure on-time delivery of crucial information and reports needed for current and future treatment planning."

J'lene is an Army veteran who served as a Counter-Intelligence agent and French linguist. After leaving active duty, she served as a military spouse and worked as an Army civilian employee. She was also actively involved in community service and operated Military Tax Assistance Centers in three different countries. These Tax Assistance Centers were a free service for active duty military, family members, and retirees.

"Seeing the vast struggles that families endure, both military and civilian, inspired me to work in treatment," says J'lene. "I wanted to do more, so I went back to school and focused on Psychology."

J'lene earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Weber State University. During her studies, she focused on attachment and attachment related disorders, as well as the struggles associated with LGBTQ youth. She also conducted research and assessments on life satisfaction, marital satisfaction, IQ, and educational attainment.

"Through my diverse breadth of experience, I bring compassion, investment, commitment, and perseverance," comments J'lene. "I see new experiences as opportunities to learn and I'm excited to be able to contribute to the Seven Stars program."

In her free time, J'lene spends much of her time in the outdoors with her children. She is an avid lover of nature and loves to go hiking, kayaking, fishing, and four wheeling in the mountains.
