Seven Seas Foundation is excited to announce the launch of its first program, beginning this June.

As one of only a few such programs in the nation, and the first of its kind in California, Seven Seas fills a much-needed void.

Seven Seas is a program helping young men 18 years and up that are best described as "failure to launch" (one of the most at risk populations in America today), get unstuck off, the couch, and living a passionate and purposeful life. Symptoms of this demographic include addictions to technology/video games, substance abuse, entitlement and lack of direction and motivation.

The non-residential program (which accepts only 6-12 participants) is conducted in Santa Barbara and provides personal weekly coaching, group processes and nature immersion (including a seven day voyage around the Hawaiian Islands on a 100' schooner). Participants gain competence in financial, nutritional, vocational, relational and emotional areas of their lives. The schedule is designed to create minimal interruptions in the lives of participants so that they can still attend school and/or work.

Founder/Director William Gale was inspired to create Seven Seas after years of counseling young men in Santa Barbara and recognizing the need for such a program. "Too many of the young men I was seeing were disengaged, unemployed, uninspired and lost without direction or purpose. What they most needed was a community of men who supported and inspired them. This program is a way for them to get that so that they can stop negative life-defeating patterns and live the life they were meant to live."
