Janet Rosenberg Joins Sedona Sky Academy As Clinical Director

We are pleased to announce that Janet Rosenberg, PhD, LMFT, LISAC, has joined Sedona Sky Academy as our new Clinical Director. Dr. Rosenberg has outstanding credentials and has worked with youth and families for over a decade.

Dr. Rosenberg (Janet) is a licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed substance counselor. She is dual licensed in the state of Arizona and an Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners approved clinical supervisor. Janet's recent positions include Chief Clinical Officer, Adult Clinical Supervisor, and Behavioral Health Professional. Janet earned a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from California State University Fullerton, a Master Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, and a Doctorate in Psychology from Capella University where she graduated with distinction. Her research and dissertation focused on early childhood trauma and later self-destructive behaviors and disorders that often result from unresolved trauma.

Janet started her career in Las Vegas working with adolescents and families with substance use, criminal behaviors, victims of crime, victims of sexual assault, and mental health disorders. She focused on restoring critical family relationships, and worked closely with probation, parole, family courts, psychiatry, school teams, community supports, local police, and local treatment facilities.
Janet also has mentoring and teaching experience. In 2010 she was a faculty member at the University of Phoenix facilitating in both the clinical professional counselor and marriage and family programs. She taught undergraduate psychology classes. She served as the Area Chair for the clinical professional counselor program developing and implementing a high standard of curriculum and projects.
