We recently returned from our annual team retreat where we had a chance to celebrate a successful first year, spend some time together in the beautiful Rocky Mountain State Park, and have a few focused days to plan for the next year ahead. As always, we value your support and input and take this to heart as we gather as a team and continue to strive to best serve our families and professionals that we collaborate with.
Because we have had many requests recently from both referring professionals and parents, we are now offering parent-coaching support while the child is in treatment. This is an exciting new opportunity for families and, we believe, it will provide the added foundation parents are seeking as their child returns home following treatment.
Often we hear from parents as their child is preparing to return home that they feel now their child is "the expert." They have been through a life-changing experience and parents struggle to "catch up" with the growth process so that the child's treatment efforts and changes can be supported and integrated now that they are home. Unfortunately, many great opportunities for parental growth and change to take place are often dampened or overlooked once the child returns and the parent-child dynamic becomes the focus.
With 360's extended parent coaching support, parents can now move through their own experience of growth and change, allowing them to be more in sync with their child's therapeutic process as well. If you would like a program description of our expanded parent coaching services or more detailed information regarding Second Nature 360, please feel free to contact Beth Laughlin at
