SavingTeens and Squaw Valley Academy Partner to Help a Family

SavingTeens and Squaw Valley Academy are happy to announce that we are collaborating to help a family in need. Educational Consultant Loi Eberle referred this young woman to SavingTeens during the young woman's stay at Wingate Wilderness Therapy. The Wingate stay came after many years of substance abuse and other risky behaviors. The sixteen year old from Idaho made significant progress in wilderness, but it was clear that she needed follow up residential placement. Ms. Eberle, who provided her services at a very discounted rate, recommended Squaw Valley to the family and turned to SavingTeens for financial assistance.

A generous discount from Squaw Valley and a scholarship from SavingTeens will allow this young woman to continue her treatment in a safe, supportive environment. Squaw Valley Academy Associate Headmaster Bill Grant states, "SavingTeens provides families a chance for support when they need it most. We partnered with this great organization to give an adolescent the ability to graduate from a school that cares about the whole child. SVA is committed to challenging students to "Go Beyond Yourself" and achieve more than they thought possible."

SavingTeens continues to be humbled by the generosity of our professional partners. The collaborative approach adopted by Loi Eberle and Squaw Valley Academy made our partnership possible. Without such collaboration, we would not be able to offer a helping hand to as many families.

Saving Teens In Crisis Collaborative is a philanthropic organization formed in April 2004 to assist troubled teens & their families struggling with significant emotional & behavioral challenges including anxiety, depression, addictions & other risky behaviors. Working in close collaboration with the therapeutic community, SavingTeens provides financial & other support to families of teens in crisis.
