Author, speaker, and coach Ruben Jimenez (LCSW) has published a new book focused on helping parents with teens or young adults returning home from therapeutic treatment. The book is called The Road Home: A Guide for Parents with Teens or Young Adults Returning from Treatment and is available through the author’s website TheRoadHomeBook.com as well as Amazon.com.

“I’m tremendously proud of all the work that’s gone into this book, and I hope it will be truly useful to many parents. I’m also inviting programs and other professionals in the industry to share the book with their clients, as a way of addressing the gap in care that often occurs during a young person’s transition from life in a treatment program to life back at home. It's a time of stress, anxiety, fear, and other difficult emotions — both for kids and their parents. The Road Home was is written to help parents navigate this period so that the gains their children have made in treatment can not only stick but continue to improve at home," said Jimenez.

The first two chapters of Jimenez's book The Road Home are available for free download on his website. Ruben is also now offering coaching and consulting services for parents seeking personalized guidance as they implement the strategies described in the book.

Ruben Jimenez is a licensed therapist (LCSW) who specializes in working with at-risk youth and their families.
