Dear Friends,

Bob Dylan sang it long ago- "the times they are a changing." Nearly 11 years ago I became a NATSAP Board member which quickly led to a love and passion for an association of those of us who work with adolescents. This association continues to be the home we turn to when we need a colleague who truly understands what we do and why we commit to such work. This is one quality that will NOT be changing.

However, it is with sadness, that I announce I have recently given notice to leave NATSAP as an employee, effective April 30, 2010. This departure gives me the chance to explore other professional opportunities and will also further NATSAP's growth as an organization. The staff and leadership of NATSAP continue to pledge their care to NATSAP's future challenges and opportunities. I also pledge my support of NATSAP's continued success.

As a founding board member of NATSAP and someone who has given many hours of volunteer service followed by part-time staff hours, it is difficult for me to think of my life without NATSAP involvement.

However, I am grateful to each of you for your friendship and professional guidance. NATSAP gave me a place and time to share my passion. What started out as a small group of committed individuals grew into an amazing association of professionals who are not afraid to share ideas and concerns.

I remain extremely humbled by the opportunity I had to represent this organization. I can only hope my contributions have been beneficial. I have thoroughly enjoyed representing all NATSAP programs and the courageous work you and your staff do daily.

I look forward to watching NATSAP grow and prosper in the coming months and years ahead. I will especially be mindful of the member programs as you all pursue the shared vision of emotional health in all children.
Members should be assured that Cliff and his staff will not miss a beat with my departure.

So, while "times they are a changing," I look forward to connecting with many of you as I plan for my next steps in our wonderful chosen profession of providing residential treatment to adolescents and young adults. A world in which boredom is never known!
