Rose Hill Center has recently opened a Co-Occurring Rehabilitation Program to continue in fostering Mental Health Stability and Sobriety.
For over 22 years, Rose Hill Center has effectively treated individuals with serious mental illnesses including many who also struggle with drugs and alcohol. Until recently, residents who are diagnosed with a 'Co-Occurring Disorder' have participated in Rose Hill's Residential Rehabilitation Program.
But Treatment of people with mental illness and co-occurring substance use is more complicated than the treatment for either condition alone. So, Rose Hill created a distinct residential program specifically to meet the unique and often complicated treatment needs of this vulnerable, under-served population.
Opening in the summer of 2014, the Co-Occurring Rehabilitation Program is designed specifically to meet residents where they are and help them develop a comprehensive treatment plan in which they determine their own personal goals. By combining therapeutic strategies from the fields of psychiatry and addiction treatment, each plan addresses physical, mental and emotional goals. The resident is guided through participation in structured programming, therapy, and activities designed to create a foundation for lifelong recovery.
An Individualized Treatment Plan for Co-Occurring Disorder treatment can include:
- Group and individual therapy
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Psycho-educational group
- 12-step community group
- Yoga and mindfulness group
- Sober recreational activities
By referral
- Neurofewsedback Therapy
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
