Angie Shockley, Founder of Q&A Associates in West Virginia took time away from training sessions to stop by the office and get her picture by the Woodbury sign.
Q&A was established to provide opportunities for young adults who have struggled to sustain a productive and positive transition into adulthood. The current programs include Applewood Transitions for Young Women, The Journey WV for Young Men and Cabin Mountain Living Center.
Applewood Transitions for young women is a supportive, community immersed program for emerging young adult women to explore and practice real life skills. They often struggle with recurring issues from adolescence, causing difficulties in transitioning effectively to independence. The Journey WV for Young Men is similar, however it is for young men. Clients are often struggling with independent living skills, school or college life, finding or maintaining employment, social skills or family relationships.
Cabin Mountain Living Center was established to provide opportunities for young men and women with Autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders to achieve the highest level of self-sufficiency possible, based on their individual capabilities.
