The Aspiro Group is excited to welcome Rachael Schneider, LCSW, LCC, to the Pure Life Aspiro Family!
Born and raised in rural Alaska, Rachael gained an appreciation for the influence of the natural world. Rachael is an avid outdoor enthusiast, who enjoys horseback riding, backpacking, and exploring new places. She has utilized a variety of experiential therapies throughout her evolution as a therapist that reflect this love for the outdoors.
After earning a bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in art and Native-American studies, she went on to pursue a master's degree in social work at Portland State University and is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Rachael favors a strengths-based, family-systems approach to psychotherapy and employs: cognitive-behavioral; motivational interviewing; DBT and narrative approaches. Rachael has extensive experience working with a variety of mental health issues including: severe depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation, anxiety issues, eating disorders, autism-spectrum disorder, disruptive-behavior disorders, and self efficacy/self esteem issues.
For the past decade Rachael has worked with youth, young adults and families to improve the quality of their lives. Rachael continues to pursue expanding therapeutic expertise. Rachael has completed didactic and practicum training for her Certified Trauma Therapist credentials (CTT). This training covers specific clinical methods that are effective in treating PTSD and dissociative disorders resulting from traumatic events-including early childhood trauma, sexual abuse, physical abuse, and emotional abuse. She is also pursuing her Somatic Experiencing Practitioner license (SEP).
Rachael is known for her direct, yet caring and genuine approach. Rachael challenges her clients to be accountable for their choices and to learn to move beyond managing their lives and learning to thrive. She encourages them to enjoy the gifts of their lives, to embrace their potential and learn to develop healthy intrinsic motivation.
Join us in welcoming Rachael to the Pure Life team!
