Project Patch Therapeutic Program in Garden Valley, Idaho sponsored a community conference, Change Your Brain, Change Your Life. Dr. Jesse Payne presented to the clients and staff of Project Patch and then put on a day-long conference, complete with CEUs, in the Boise area for the public. Many local social workers, counselors, and other professionals raved that this conference was one of the best they had attended as the information was so relevant to their own professional and personal lives.

Dr. Payne studied under the renowned Dr Daniel Amen and now teaches at Corbin University. Dr Payne's book, Change Your Brain, Change Your Life Before 25, and presentation covered the development of the brain and went into detail on how factors such as diet, sports, drug abuse, and trauma can influence or even damage brain activity. His research-based information was of great interest to both teens and adults who asked many questions on how they can grow their brains to be and stay healthy.

Project Patch, founded in 1984, provides residential treatment for at-risk youth at its 169 acre campus located one north of Boise, Idaho. The beautiful campus sits along the Payette river at the base of Charter Mountain. Elk, deer, beaver and other wildlife add to the serene setting which also includes a fishing pond, gymnasium, and chapel.

The fully accredited school on campus allows the adolescents the individual attention and instruction needed to catch up with their studies or even graduate High School. Many of the students who come to Patch struggled educationally prior and find success as they learn to be enthusiastic and self-motivated learners at Patch.

Reaching out to struggling teenagers and their families is a passion of Project Patch in this 12 month program. Licensed by Idaho Health & Welfare and accredited by Joint Commission, Patch provides a quality level program grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Individual, group and family therapy coupled with a program that values relationships, responsibility, and respect helps the youth go forward to a life restored with hope, purpose and direction.

Project PATCH is a non-profit Youth Program with campuses in Idaho and Washington. Project PATCH reaches youth struggling with mood disorders, ADD, and grief/loss issues as well as reaching families through weekends and parenting seminars at their Washington state campus.
