The Price Group Educational Planning Services, Inc., a Columbia, South Carolina based educational consulting firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ashley Auchterlonie as their new Therapeutic Educational Consultant.

Auchterlonie, is a therapeutic educational consultant with The Price Group, specializing in therapeutic placements. Ashley brings over 20 years of experience in the behavioral healthcare field. She has extensive and comprehensive experience in admissions, clinical case management, marketing, and client relations.

The Price Group, led by May D. Peach, M.Ed. and Louise R. Slater, M.A., has been helping families make informed decisions regarding their children's educational future since 1995. Both Peach and Slater are Professional Members of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA)* and Certified Educational Planners (CEP) .

Ashley began her career in the Northeast working with clinically complex children and adolescents at a psychiatric hospital. This experience is where Ashley developed a passion for helping children struggling with mental health issues. She later moved to Texas where she spent the next 12 years working with at risk youth at The Brown Schools and CEDU. While there, Ashley held positions as behavior therapist, clinical case manager, admissions director and national outreach manager. Ashley then went on to lead the admissions and marketing team at InnerChange. She was responsible for training admissions staff at all residential programs as well as developing and implementing sales and marketing plans for the company nationwide. Most recently, Ashley was the director of admissions for a therapeutic residential program for young adults in Colorado. She worked closely with families to help them navigate the enrollment/assessment process as well as providing aftercare resources. Additionally, Ashley is known for her strong communication skills and keen ability to connect with students and families.

Ashley currently lives in Concord, NC with her family. She enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking, cooking and loving on her kids. You may also find her training for her annual half marathon or trying out a new recipe!

The Price Group was established in 1983 by Ann Carol Price, an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and pioneering educational consultant. In 1996, Price's former clients May Dowling Peach (with a Masters in Education) and Louise Slater (with a Masters in Psychology) purchased the firm and continued building on The Price Group's innovative consulting process.

The company recognizes each student is unique and so too is each school, college, or specialized program. It can be difficult for families to determine the best choice for their children due to a bewildering array of options and Peach and Slater make this process easier and more effective due to their in depth knowledge and first hand experiences of schools.
