New Director of Admissions
At Prakash Ellenhorn

Laurie Damsky, RN, PMHNP-BC, has assumed the position of Director of Admissions at Prakash Ellenhorn. Laurie brings clinical expertise to the process. After working here as a nurse on our PACT team, she rose to the post of lead nurse for the program, which she held for the past three years.

In her role as Director of Admissions, Laurie receives referral calls to the program, working closely with co-founders, Drs. Madhavi Prakash and Ross Ellenhorn, to ensure that each client is the right fit for Prakash Ellenhorn and that the facility meets their needs. After their initial conversations with Laurie, possible clients and their families are quickly connected with Ross. Once the appropriateness of the placement is established, Laurie organizes a client's multi-faceted transition into the program.

As of May 31, 2014, Prakash Ellenhorn's corporate offices moved from
fast-paced urban Cambridge to the suburban town of Arlington, about five miles away,
both in Massachusetts. The new space contains offices for both partners -- Drs. Madhavi Prakash and Ross Ellenhorn -- and our entire staff.

Prakash Ellenhorn serves clients ages 18 and older that may have both mild and acute psychiatric symptoms such as a mood, thought, or anxiety disorder, medical conditions complicating psychiatric treatment, eating disorder, or co-occurring or dual diagnosis disorder. The program offers a non-institutional alternative to hospital and residential programs.
