We are excited to announce new staff at to Ponca Pines Academy:

Linda Beckstead has joined PPA as the Lead Teacher. She comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and over 22 years of teaching experience. She earned her Master's Degree from University of Nebraska and has additional experience in the area of language arts, writing and curriculum development. She also brings an appreciation and knowledge of drama and music.

Bailey Wrenn has joined PPA as a Co-Teacher in our classroom. She comes to us with a strong passion for teaching and many fresh concepts and ideas. She earned her Master's Degree from the College of St. Mary and has taught in the Omaha area schools. Bailey has a Bachelors of Science in History, and is certified in Language Arts and Social Sciences. Bailey is excited to bring her knowledge of differentiated learning into the classroom at PPA.

Michelle Davis, LMHP, LCSW, PLDAC permanently joined PPA as our Lead Therapist. She comes to us with over 21 years of experience working with youth and families in a variety of settings. Michelle spent ten years in senior management and serving as a Clinical Director before returning to therapy and working with at risk youth. Michelle incorporates a whole systems approach using components of family systems, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral and narrative therapy.

Ponca Pines Academy is a residential, therapeutic boarding school for young women, ages 16-19 years old that focuses on high school credit completion, in addition to resolving issues with substance use and abuse, mental health issues and trauma.

Traditional and experiential methods of therapy are used in working with students, including art therapy, and EGALA. Ponca Pines Academy is licensed by the State of Nebraska, and is JCAHO accredited.
