Over the past 2 years, Ponca Pines Academy has enrolled 16 year old girls on an individual basis based on their appropriateness for our programming. We found that these youth fit very well into our milieu as they are often working on issues which are very similar to those of other older adolescent girls.
Based on the successes of these girls in our program and continued requests for assessment and placement of 16 year olds, we have made the decision to expand our age profile to include 16 year old girls.
We remain dedicated to our mission of helping young women to find meaning in their lives, form fulfilling relationships, and experience a healthy transition into adulthood.

Ponca Pines Academyis a residential, therapeutic boarding school for young women, ages 16-19 years old that focuses on high school credit completion, in addition to resolving issues with substance use and abuse, mental health issues and trauma.
Traditional and experiential methods of therapy are used in working with students, including art therapy, and EGALA. Ponca Pines Academy is licensed by the State of Nebraska, and is JCAHO accredited.
