Elk River Challenge, a division of The Pinnacle Schools, is celebrating the enrollment of it's 200th student. This important milestone represents the success of The Pinnacle Schools programs and allows us to grow and continue to meet the needs of our families.
The Elk River Challenge is an 8-10 week adventure based assessment and intervention program for troubled teens ages 12-18 and their families. ERC is designed to stop poor behavior patterns and help teens discover their talents and potential. The outdoor adventure experience gives teens the tools necessary to build self-confidence, attain goals and lead productive lives.
"Every family's situation and needs are different" said Ann Corley, Director of Admissions and Marketing for The Pinnacle Schools. "The programs of The Pinnacle Schools provide an individualized therapeutic plan for each child and help provide appropriate transition and aftercare services."
"Tevvy completed her freshman year of college and is doing great in school. It is truly amazing to see the maturity difference in her. Since ERC she has become a young lady who takes pride in herself" said Whitney Hubbs, former parent.
The programs of The Pinnacle Schools were founded in 2005 by a group of caring professionals resolved to provide affordable, high quality therapeutic treatment services for troubled teens and their families TPS began with the Elk River Challenge. Four years later, TPS has grown into four separate and distinct programs to meet the individual needs of the families we serve:
Elk River Challenge: Therapeutic Intervention Program (8-10 weeks)
Elk River Academy: Individualized Transitional Therapeutic School (flexible stay up to 8 months)
Elk River Lifestyle Challenge: Teen Weight Management Program (8 weeks)
Pinnacle Academic Resource Center: A private year round high school and College resource program in Huntsville, Alabama
"We are fortunate to have the professional and dedicated staff necessary to make this program successful" said Karen Lee, Founder & CEO. "During these difficult economic times we realize how fortunate we are to be able to continue providing and improving our services for troubled teens."
"Elk River has helped shape me as an individual. The staff has become my second family and I am grateful they have never given up on me" said Alina Ray, former ERC & Elk River Academy student.
