Jeremy Hastings, Operations Manager, and Denny Vandermause, Lead Counselor, at Penrith Farms recently drove up from Newport, WA to visit the Woodbury office. While at the office they shared information about updating the Penrith Farms website to a new and integrated site, which will be launching soon. They also discussed other changes that have occurred at the Farm and encouraged consultants and program people to visit to discover who they are now.
The program operates on this discovery model where students can choose from a series of activities and make their own daily schedules. Staff members then guide the residents toward the goals and obligations they have established for themselves.
Penrith Farmsis a co-ed experiential learning program for young adults, 18 and over, that need instruction and guidance in their lives. They provide wrap-around services in a dynamic setting where students will learn the virtues of Compassion, Diligence, Honesty, and Humility. At Penrith Farms, young adults are free to explore their passions and the directions life can take them in a safe environment where mistakes are expected and accepted.
