Penrith Farms is pleased to announce that Dennis Vanderhause has joined our therapeutic team as Clinical Director. Denny is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Registered National Provider (ACSW) and Diplomat (DCSW) with a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He has over 30 years experience working with adolescents and families in crisis or transition and his extensive training includes neurolinguistic programming, hypnosis, Gestalt, transpersonal psychology (Jung, Assagioli), mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, evidence based practice, brief Interventions, addictions, gambling, and solution focused therapy.

Penrith Farms Therapeutic Program is dynamic since it is based on Human Interaction. When Clients and Staff come and go, the dynamic changes but the impact of a Clinical Director has a tendency to shape the arena in which everyone performs. Denny is warm-hearted, always smiling, and has a soft touch. He asks the tough questions of Clients, Staff, and the Culture at Penrith Farms. Sometimes simply asking why something is done the way it is done brings about changes, and Denny is always asking why. Penrith Farm's desire for a dynamic free flowing structure meshes well with Denny's passion for constant evolution, and questioning of approach. Every client is different and in a state of change, and Denny's revisiting of answered and re-answered questions is keeping the program fresh.

Penrith Farms is a Specialized Therapeutic Community settled on 320 Acres in Eastern Washington. In 1983, Penrith Farms began as a 12-month program for young adults ages 18-26, who exhibit social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
