Aspen Education Group President Elliot Sainer has announced the promotion of Patty Evans to Chief Marketing Officer / Senior Vice President of Sales effective July 20, 2007. In this new position, Evans will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated sales and marketing business plan for the company.

“We are very pleased that Patty has accepted this expanded business development and marketing position,” said Sainer. “She has always shown great aptitude as a leader with tremendous skill in building relationships and understanding the complexities of our industry. I am confident in her success in her new role.”

Evans has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the behavioral healthcare industry. She joined Aspen in a full-time capacity in September 2001. Prior to that, she served as a consultant to multiple behavioral healthcare groups and hospitals, as well as Aspen, from 1996 through 2001. From 1987 through 1996, Evans worked for Charter Medical Corporation. It was after ten years in a successful sales and management career in technology that Evans chose to enter the behavioral healthcare industry.

“I had a personal desire to be of service and use my skills and experience to work in an industry where my daily efforts could make a difference in other people’s lives,” said Evans. “Since joining Aspen, I believe that each day is a great day to offer hope.”

Evans’ primary focus at Aspen has been to create and expand a team of regional liaisons across the country, serving referral sources who utilize the vast continuum of Aspen programs and schools. She is the driving force behind (and will continue to oversee) Aspen’s Professional Development Workshop (PDW), an annual forum for multi-disciplinary referral sources to come together to network and learn from lectures given by leading authorities in behavioral health and therapeutic education. Aspen will host their 3rd annual PDW in Deer Valley, Utah on October 4, 2007.

“The joy of this work is recognized daily in jointly creating solutions that offer help and hope to struggling students and their families, through the wonderful partnerships we’ve created with referral sources,” said Evans.

Aspen Education Group is recognized nationwide as the largest and most comprehensive network of therapeutic schools and programs. Aspen Education Group offers professionals and families the opportunity to choose from a variety of therapeutic settings in order to best meet a student’s unique academic and emotional needs. Aspen Education Group has been profiled by major news and television organizations around the world, including U.S. News and World Report, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today and People magazine, as well as on CNN, ABC’s 20/20 and Good Morning America, NBC’s The Today Show and Dateline NBC, National Public Radio and the syndicated television show Dr. Phil.
