Passages to Recovery will be hosting the second annual Systemic Family Intervention Training and Certification Workshop October 19-21, 2009 to be held at the Troon Golf/Spa Resort in St. George, Utah.

"Early Bird" registration deadline is Friday, August 14, 2009. Early Bird Registration is $765 and registration (after August 14th) is $895 (CEU's available - all meals included in registration fee).

Trainers for this event include Wayne Raiter and Heather Hayes. Wayne is the President of Executive Care, Inc. and the founder of Speare/Raiter training in Boston, Massachusetts, Wayne is the author of the new Systemic Intervention model. Formerly the Clinical Director of the Johnson Institute, he also founded the Lakewood Counseling and Career Center of Minneapolis, MN. In addition to his training and writing, Wayne has a clinical practice in the Twin Cities area. Heather Hayes is a licensed counselor and Board Registered Interventionist (BRI II) and currently has a private practice in Atlanta, Georgia. Heather is the psychological profiler for the Hostage Negotiation and SWAT team for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department and is co-author of the upcoming book "Invitational Intervention-the ARISE Model: A Step-by-Step Guide for Helping Clinicians Understand Women's Issues in Addiction Treatment Entry and Recovery". She received her B.A. from Emory University and her M.Ed. from Antioch University.

This training offers critical insight for anyone that works with addict clientele. Not only will it enhance your ability in recognizing the "identified patient's cycle and addiction", it will offer you new ways of supporting the entire family system to allow the changes imperative for success and long term recovery.
