We are often asked "What does Pacia mean?"
The simple definition...

PEACE!

It is the PEACE that young adults find when they start producing results in key areas of life.

So, the more detailed definition exists within their personal stories that are told through each young adult's life that is transformed through their journey, growth, and experience at Pacia Life.

Young Adults begin their journey through our life mapping process called the Tatori Experience. Part of this process in our clinical life-coaching model is to help clients focus on their goals around the "wheel of life" - nutrition, academics, finances, career, hobbies, social life, relationships, and emotional well-being. It also allows them to gain new tools for coping with daily stressors and triggers to support them in their search towards independence and self-reliance.

Utilizing a community integrated approach allows real life to be the "classroom" and the city to be our "campus." Our community-integrated approach with the support of clinical life coaches helps young adults break old habits of isolating, hiding behind the screen, creating balance in work, school and social life, while also urging them to experience new ways to enjoy life. At Pacia, real life is the "classroom" and the city to be our "campus."

During the admission process, parents often ask "how many hours of therapy their son or daughter will receive?". Although our focus in transitional living is primarily on equipping young adults to become resilient, self-reliant and full of grit, part of that process is creating ways to navigate their emotional well- being. If you combine the clinically informed life coaching, the experiential therapy and the traditional therapy you are looking at well over 30 to 50 hours of expert assistance in a week depending on the level of need in a client.

Many of our life coaches come with years of experience from wilderness therapy, education, clinical therapist and residential boarding schools which allows diversity in their coaching style with Pacia clients. There are healing and personal growth in our holistic approach of combining an "off the couch" experience combined with clinical life coaching model that deals with "blockages" or clinical challenges in real time instead of waiting to talk about it in an office a week later during the next scheduled clinical appointment.

Clients are experiencing significant, personal growth through our approach which also helps support growth in other areas of their life map. Our process is not about how fast they can learn, heal or grow, but rather about assisting young adults in their desire to create productive time in a week.

Please see this video where Randy Oakley explains the difference and value of different therapy models and why Clinical Life Coaching is a foundational key for most of our young adults.
