College Transition Program
Offered By PRN For Families

The transition to living independently and going away to school can be a very stressful time in a person's life. We often take for granted the experiences and skills that allow us to maintain our own living space, manage money and do everyday tasks, like laundry and preparing food.

PRN For Families can help with this transition. We provide the support needed for young adults to make a smooth transition to college or an independent living situation, providing assistance and support with a wide range of life skills, individualized plans, 24 hour crisis intervention, mental health and substance abuse support, education advocacy and employment guidance.

The program is structured with a high level of accountability, yet community-based, which means we go into the community versus the client going outside to receive the services. It is customized to meet the needs of the client, and specifically designed for clients who have exhausted the more traditional services.

PRN for Families provides intensive, in-home crisis intervention, family assessment, comprehensive planning, follow up, counseling and life-skills for families who have children or teenagers who are out of control or at imminent risk of being separated from their family.
