Open Sky is thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Paul Case as a young adult therapist. Dr. Case is a licensed psychologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience and 8 years in the therapeutic industry. Open Sky's Clinical Director, Emily Demong, LCSW, says, "Dr. Case brings outstanding clinical skills and a sophisticated treatment approach aligned with Open Sky's values. We are delighted to have him join our team."

Dr. Case earned his Doctor of Psychology at Wheaton College and completed a doctoral residency at Butler University, where he performed individual and group therapy and conducted comprehensive psychological evaluations for young adults. During his tenure with the Montana State Hospital he helped establish one of the earliest DBT treatment programs in the country. Since then, he has worked with male and female adolescents at Montana Academy and Second Nature Blue Ridge. Dr. Case has also authored a book for parents of troubled teens entitled What Now? How Teen Therapeutic Programs Could Save Your Troubled Child. At Open Sky, he will continue writing and presenting at national conferences.

Dr. Case's areas of expertise include trauma, depression, substance abuse, bereavement, and developmental immaturity. Dr. Case says, "I believe that at the heart of effective treatment is an attuned and empathic relationship in which presenting issues are understood in the context of developmental impasses. I like to help clients and their family understand these impasses so that they can utilize more effective strategies of relating to support growth and maturity."

Dr. Case will join Open Sky's team of young adult therapists, including Dr. Katie Grace MacElveen and Rebecca Wildbear, MS, LPC. Dr. Case will begin taking clients at the beginning of October.

Open Sky's holistic wilderness therapy program is the most comprehensive and clinically sophisticated wilderness therapy program in the industry, and the only one that is supported by continuous outcome-based research. Open Sky sets the standard in the industry and employs the widest range of empirically supported interventions for young adults and adolescents in crisis.
