Open Sky Wilderness Therapy, the nation's premier holistic wilderness therapy program for adolescents and young adults, announces the promotion of Emily Demong, LCSW, to Clinical Director.
As a founder and owner of Open Sky with over twelve years of experience in the industry, Emily is eminently qualified for her new role as Clinical Director. Emily is a natural leader and has excelled as Open Sky's Assistant Clinical Director over the past three years. Of the change Emily says, "This role allows me to continue my passion of working directly with clients while working more closely with our outstanding clinical team. I am excited and honored to serve as Clinical Director for Open Sky." Emily will continue to take direct referrals in the adolescent girls' group.
Pam Parsons Dupuy, LMFT, will continue to carry a client load of young adults, work directly with referring professionals, and provide clinical supervision for Open Sky's clinical team. Most notably, she will let go of the operations side of her clinical responsibilities. As a founder and owner of Open Sky, Pam will also continue to be involved in strategic planning and business development for the program. "Having worked in the wilderness therapy field for fifteen years, nine of them as a clinical director," Pam says, "I am ready and excited to be turning the administrative responsibilities of managing the clinical department over to Emily's very capable hands. I'll continue to work directly with students and their families, provide clinical supervision to our amazing team of therapists, and continue to help support and grow our Open Sky vision."
Please welcome Emily Demong in her new role as Clinical Director and join me in recognizing Pam Parsons for her continued contributions and her new role as Clinical Supervisor.
Open Sky's holistic wilderness therapy program provides the most sophisticated and comprehensive treatment model in the industry. The Open Sky treatment approach is family-centered and evidence-based. Open Sky works with adolescents ages 13 - 17 and young adults ages 18 - 28. The program is licensed to provide treatment in the states of Colorado and Utah. Open Sky was named a "Company to Watch" in 2009 by the Colorado Governor's office.
