Live Oak Educational Consulting, announced today that is has renamed itself One Oak Educational Consulting. One Oak provides therapeutic or academic placement services for adolescent and young adults nationwide.

Established in 2012, One Oak Educational Consulting is staffed by placement specialists with the clinical expertise, industry knowledge and relationships with leading facilities across the United States. Their purpose is to ensure each one of their client's is matched with the best school or treatment program for their needs.

"There is no such thing as a 'one size fits all' treatment. After years working as a clinician and addictions counselor, I saw a profound need to help families avoid-or escape-the revolving door of treatment," said Kim Jenkins, founder and Educational Consultant of One Oak Educational Consulting. "Misplacing a young person in the wrong school or treatment program is all too common and can lead to unnecessary failure, expense and despair."

One Oak consultant's receive no incentives from programs. All placement recommendations are objective and determined by a precise clinical understanding of a child's specific needs as well as mitigating factors, like family system, neurobiology, and past traumas.

In total, One Oak is comprised of a staff with two decades of clinical experience. This includes the organization's most recent hire, Dana Januszkiewicz. Ms. Januszkiewicz, who will serve as a placement coordinator, comes to One Oak after four years as a regional admissions counselor for several Therapeutic Wilderness Programs.
