It is with regret that I forward the attached message from
Randy Richardson, informing you that he has recently made the difficult decision to step down as Headmaster of Oliverian effective June 30, 2014.
Randy has devoted five immensely productive years to the School, and has played a major role in its development into the self-sustaining, independent, and financially secure institution it is today. He has also been instrumental in helping to clarify Oliverian's vital mission, and in continually improving the quality of its programming and staff. He is well-loved and highly respected by the entire Oliverian Community. He believes passionately in Oliverian's mission, and considers his tenure at Oliverian to be the most rewarding of his professional career.
The Oliverian Board of Trustees both laments and respects Randy's decision to step down as Head. We are grateful for the time and effort Randy has devoted to leading the School so selflessly and effectively over the last five years. We view the forthcoming leadership transition, however, as a means to further strengthen the School and to help guide it responsibly into its next chapter. As board chair, I have the utmost faith that we will make this transition deliberately, enthusiastically, and successfully. To that end, we have begun a nationwide search for a new Head of School.
Thank you for your ongoing support of Oliverian. With your help, we will continue to carry out our unique mission with the passion and commitment that have become our trademark. Please feel free to contact me anytime at

Sincerely,
Jeanne Townsend
