Odyssey Wilderness Programs is pleased to announce they are now a year round program!
After 6 years of enhancing the Odyssey model, we want to be able to share it with you year-round. So, as of October 1st, 2009, our winter location will be based out of Joshua Tree National Park. In short, the program model will be the same structured design you've come to know and love, but with one 'small' difference: The program phases will be hiking and rock climbing instead of hiking and sailing.
Stay tuned, you will be hearing a lot more about this program in the coming months.
And in addition to this exciting news, Jane Fineberg, MSW, LCSW, has joined Odyssey's clinical team and will be working as a Field Therapist.
Jane Fineberg is a licensed social worker, having completed her undergraduate work at Sarah Lawrence College and her graduate work at the University of Michigan. She first began working with teenagers ten years ago in the urban setting of New York City. Beginning her journey into wilderness therapy through an internship at Outward Bound, she continued on to obtain a degree in social work. As a therapist, Jane first worked in an outpatient setting for women and girls in Southeastern Michigan. She has since worked in an adventure-based therapeutic boarding school in Northwest Montana where she facilitated individual, family, and group therapy with at-risk teens and their families.
Count on her calling you to introduce herself in the coming weeks!
