New Initiatives At Optimum Performance
Institute Of Woodland Hills

The Optimum Performance Institute is initiating specialized programming to deal with issues related to addiction to on-line gaming and computers.

As part of this effort OPI will host Dr. Jack Kuo, M.D., who will make a special in-service presentation to staff and therapists next month.
Dr Kuo heads a computer addiction program at Promises in Malbu, CA.

OPI is also teaming up with the Addiction Studies Program Pierce College to offer internships for students who are working to be certified addiction specialists there.

Under the clinical supervision of Martin Cisneros, CAC, RAS, OPI's Director of Chemical Dependency Services, and Jeff Kestenbaum, LCSW, Director of Counseling Services, the students will spend one semester of the two year certificate program at OPI. They will practice running group therapy sessions and help young adults struggling with addiction issues.

The Optimum Performance Institute is a highly individualized therapeutic, residential and educational residential program for young adults ages 17-25.
