Novitas Academy, a new therapeutic residential school in Idaho, is welcoming a new member of their team, Brennan Gage, as Academic Director.
Brennan holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Hendrix College in Arkansas, a Masters in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Masters in School Leadership from Columbia University.
Brennan founded RISE high in 2007, a program in Austin that partners students with successful entrepreneurs to create businesses. In 2010, he worked with an industrial reseller to create uMAKEit, a program that partners manufacturing businesses in Cleveland with local middle schools to create STEM projects. Most recently, Brennan worked as a Teacher Development Specialist, supporting Secondary Math teachers and Data Specialists in schools across Houston. He regularly presents workshops at national conferences about using technology to facilitate collaboration between schools and community partners.
Brennan has taught math and science for ten years and has worked with a variety of student populations, including students with learning differences, gifted students, international students, and students learning English. He specializes in personalizing the education of each student based on their needs and interest so that all students receive a rigorous, high quality education. Brennan believes that education is a basic human right and should invest each child in a life that is filled with meaning and purpose.
Novitas Academy is a unique fully accredited therapeutic boarding school for boys ages 14-18. The program is designed to meet the needs of young men struggling with life skills, learning differences, lack of academic motivation, ADHD as well as mild to moderate behavioral and emotional problems.
